Creation Time and Lent Resource.
Pope Francis’ 2015 Encyclical “Laudato Si’ – On Care for Our Common Home”, calls us all to respond to the challenge of climate change and its impact on the world.
In response, Liverpool Archdiocese Justice and Peace Commission and CAFOD in Liverpool developed this resource for Creation Time (September 1st – October 4th) and for Lent in each liturgical year.
There are 30 session in total.
Each session has four sections:
- The Sunday Gospel,
- Stories to illustrate some of the issues,
- Excerpts from Laudato Si,
- Suggestions for action.
Each begins and ends with prayers and each of the four sections is followed by pointers for discussion.
The resources have been popular in the Liverpool archdiocese and have been used further afield.
They are available in printed form from the J&P Office, LACE, Croxteth Drive, Sefton Park. Liverpool L17 1AA and on the Archdiocese website at http://www.liverpoolcatholic.org.uk/formation-shop
The issues Pope Francis drew attention to in Laudato Si’ are still with us and have become more urgent.
